Did you know: you will soon be able to setup a policy that allows your users to automatically claim an available license for Microsoft Teams rolling out early June with a rollout completion date by the end of July.
How this affects your organization
Once you have configured the auto-claim policy, if a user logs in to Microsoft Teams without an assigned license, they will automatically be assigned a license based on your policy. This policy provides instant access to the products you have selected.
What you need to do to prepare
By default the policy setting is off. You can enable it at your convenience when feature is available in your tenant.
1. In order to create an auto-claim policy, you must first enable the setting, Let users auto-claim licenses the first time they sign in.
2. After you have enabled the setting, you can create an auto-claim policy under Billing > Licenses – Auto-claim policy.
