Did you know: Outlook mobile will have the ability to enable delegate permissions for mailboxes

Did you know: that starting mid-February 2020 Outlook mobile will have the ability to enable delegate permissions for mailboxes. Delegates who have been granted full access permissions to send email and respond to calendar invitations on the behalf of another person will soon be able to do so from Outlook for iOS and Android.

How does this affect me?

– You can use the Exchange admin center (EAC) to assign full access permissions to a mailbox so that other users can access the mailbox or send email messages that appear to come from the mailbox (using Send As or Send on Behalf permissions).”

– This release affects only delegates who have full access permissions to the owner’s inbox; it does not apply to groups. Selective folder permissions will be supported in a later release.

What do I need to do to prepare for this change?

– Once your tenant has been enabled, you should notify your help desk and managers in your organization that Full Access delegate permissions is also supported in Outlook for iOS and Android.
