Weekly Tip 60

When you have an environment that only has access to an https management point, you should use this command to install the ConfigMgr client. It ensures that your client will install correctly on the first try.

ccmsetup.exe /mp:https://<management point FQDN> /UsePKICert /SMSMP=https://<management point FQDN> SMSSITECODE=<site code>

You can also add the optional /skipprereq:silverlight parameter to prevent the client from installing Silverlight. After ConfigMgr 1511, Silverlight is no longer required because of the combined Software Center.
