1. Preview Incoming E-Invoices Before Processing in Dynamics 365 Business Central
Overview
A new feature is coming to Dynamics 365 Business Central which allows you to preview incoming e-invoices and credit memos before processing them. This feature becomes generally available on May 1, 2025.
Impact
Incoming e-docs, typically received in XML or similar formats, can often be difficult to read/review. This new feature solves that problem by offering an E-invoice Lines FastTab. Here invoice and credit memo details i.e. line and header info are displayed in a clear, readable format. This makes it easier to review/verify data before proceeding.

2. Microsoft Purview: New Data Security Investigations (DSI) Solution
Overview
Microsoft Purview introduces a new AI-driven Data Security Investigations (DSI) solution to enhance data security. It identifies critical incident related data in the M365 ecosystem. This tool empowers data security teams to conduct deep content analysis and mitigate risks in a unified environment. DSI lets your admins access stuff like email data, Microsoft Teams messages, Copilot prompts, documents, etc. and help them detect possible security threats, sensitive info leakage chances, etc.
Impact
Actually, DSI solution uses generative AI to deliver some deep insights into your impacted data. This enables your admins to categorize evidence and easily perform vector searches, which in turn helps them visualize correlation among things like investigation data, users, activities, and helps them get a rather clear view of security/sensitive data risks. The solution facilitates secure collaboration between their teams during any investigations and helps them refine security policies post investigation. Basically, DSI aims to streamline investigations and effectively mitigate security risks.
Action Needed
Enroll for DSI access via Microsoft Purview; enable RBAC and complete the first-run experience for both non-AI and AI processing meters. That said, you need to ensure some proper permissions are there for DSI admins, investigators, reviewers, etc. Stay tuned for the public preview/updates.

3. Fix Unposted Purchase Documents with e-Documents in Dynamics 365 Business Central
Overview
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central just introduced a new feature which allows its users to fix unposted purchase docs. Currently, if a purchase invoice/credit memo gets deleted, you’re unable to link the incoming e-doc to the correct one, and this feature lets you recreate the document based on the details in the e-doc.
Impact
The e-doc feature addresses this challenge of missing connections when a purchase invoice/credit memo gets deleted, often accidentally. This update is sure to make you users recreate an unposted purchase invoice from the incoming e-doc. The action leverages details from the original doc i.e. G/L mapping, item references, etc. and generates new docs automatically.
Action Needed
No action required for this update.

5. Updated CDN Endpoints for Intune-Managed Windows, Mac, and Android AOSP Devices
Overview
Microsoft Intune has just updated the required CDN endpoints for Windows, Mac, Android Open Source Project (AOSP) managed devices. But you need to make no changes if your firewall already allows access to *.manage.microsoft.com.
Impact
Devices managed by Intune may fail to install apps and scripts or may struggle to receive critical updates if the new endpoints aren’t accessible.
Affected scenarios include…
- Windows: Intune management extension updates for Win32 app deployment, PowerShell scripts, Endpoint Analytics, others, etc.
- Co-managed devices: Delivery of Configuration Manager binaries, technical previews, official releases, hotfixes, push notifications, etc.

- Android AOSP: Delivery of Intune Company Portal app, feature updates during device provisioning.
Action Needed
Update firewall/proxy rules to allow *.manage.microsoft.com. for uninterrupted service. If domain based rules aren’t possible, refer to specific CDN network requirements:

6. Microsoft 365 Apps: OneDrive Backup Prompt for Users
Overview
Microsoft is going to complete the roll out of a new feature that is prompting eligible users in Microsoft tools like PowerPoint, Word, etc. to backup their files to OneDrive.
This new feature has already started working in Public Preview and is expected to work in General Availability this May.
Users will see a prompt in the Message Bar below the toolbar and it will ask them to enroll in OneDrive’s Known Folder Move (KFM) which allows them to select folders to back up.
Impact
The backup prompt will appear to users who haven’t yet enrolled in KFM. Files in the selected folders will be automatically synced to OneDrive once enrolled. Users can then benefit from cloud specific features i.e. security, compliance, version history, easy collaboration, etc. There will be enhanced data loss prevention as well and better and quick access to files from any device. However, users already enrolled in KFM or those blocked from KFM won’t see any message.
Action Needed
Admins do not need to take any immediate action. This rollout is happening automatically. However, you can disable the prompt by deploying the new “Restrict KFM from Office” policy.
