Did you know: There is a new feature available in Microsoft Teams that improves the sign in experience.
How does this affect me?
You can enable your users who have a cloud username that is different from their on-premise username to sign into Teams without their username being pre-filled on the Welcome screen. This feature applies only to the latest version of the Teams desktop app, in all versions of Windows. This is not an issue with MacOS or Linux.
What do I need to do to prepare for this change?
Admins who would like to customize the Teams login pre-fill will need to set up a registry key.
Should you enable this, there will be no impact to users who are already signed into Teams. New users or users that sign out of Teams will see the new experience upon sign in.
