How does this affect me?
Admins and relevant roles will now be able apply a legal hold on private channel messages in Microsoft Teams.
Legal hold is a critical step to preserving all message copies and to prevent content tampering. It is vital for legal investigations.
What do I need to do to prepare for this change?
To put a user or a team on Legal Hold, navigate to the Security & Compliance Center. When you create a new case, you are presented with the option to place mailboxes or sites on hold.
