Did you know: there is a new feature to edit metadata from within the SharePoint Document Library and List View web parts that will be completed by the end of April.

How does this affect me?

Users will now have the ability to open and edit file or list item properties directly from the document or list view web parts.

Users no longer need to navigate to the List or Document Library to update their metadata. They can edit metadata directly from the webpart by either clicking on the Info or by clicking “More” under item properties.
